Dr. Sai Kalyan Savarapu is a dynamic and innovative Neurosurgeon with vast experience in the field of Brain and Spine Surgery. He started as a university topper in the Neurosurgery superspecialty entrance exam and was awarded the MCh degree after a successful residency programme at Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad. He then set off to gain international experience in Spine Surgery at the prestigious Walton Centre of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool, United Kingdom. After this, he travelled to Japan to do a fellowship (WFNS Scholarship) in Cerebrovascular and Skullbase surgery at Fujita Health University, Nagoya, Japan.

After gaining insights and skills from the West and the Far East, he returned home to India to work as a senior resident at Gandhi General Hospital and later as a consultant at KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, before joining as a senior consultant at AIG Hospital, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. In the last 11 years, he has successfully operated on several complex cases of Brain and Spine Surgery. In addition to his extensive clinical experience, he was also a faculty member for the National Board of Examinations (DNB). As a keen academic, he presented at national and international conferences, published articles in reputed national and international journals, and delivered guest lectures in many CME programmes.
Dr. Sai Kalyan’s post-qualification training and experience from working at varied centres allowed him to further advance his skills and knowledge in Surgeries. He has successfully operated on several complex cases of Brain and Spine Surgery. He independently performed around 3000 Surgeries, which include Surgeries for benign Brain Tumours, Malignant Brain Tumours, Stereotactic Biopsies for Brain Tumours, Robotic Biopsy, Surgeries for Brain Stroke and Vascular Surgeries (Aneurysm Clipping). Surgeries pertaining to head injuries and spinal injuries, such as extradural hematomas, subdural hematomas, and spinal trauma Surgeries. He has expertise in minimally invasive procedures for the Spine, Endoscopic surgeries, MicroVascular Decompression surgeries, Paediatric Neurosurgery, Laminectomies, Discectomies, Microdiscectomies and Skull Base Surgeries.
